Little A - Boston Children Photography

I had the pleasure to photograph Little A recently.  We had to reschedule it couple times due to the unpredictable weather in Boston.

We finally got to spend a nice afternoon together in the family backyard, and we shared some yummy cupcakes from Babycake in Quincy (I am now known as the Cupcake Lady)!

Little A was so cute and wanted to show me all his toys (ah - the trucks)!  We then went to play in the backyard, and climbed up the tree house (I wish I have a tree house too)!

Sumathi and Jay - Anniversary Session in Jamaica Plain

Recently, I had the pleasure to photograph Sumathi and Jay as they celebrated their 5-year anniversary.  They are such a cute and energetic couple that love to travel and eat (we sure have that in common!)  Sumathi had a great idea of doing the photo shoot right in their neighborhood, Jamaica Plain.

The day of the shoot was another hot summer day in Boston, we walked along the Jamaica Pond to get some fun nature shots.  Sumathi and Jay were very natural in front of the camera and they were keep making each other laugh throughout the shoot.  Our original plan was to go over to the Arnold Arboretum, but we decided to incorporate some urban views of JP into the shoot.  (Hope to go back to the Arboretum for future engagement sessions!)

There was a lot of really colorful wall murals along many buildings at the center of JP.  It was a great time walking around, we even ran into Sumathi and Jay's neighbor and his baby girl. Of course, we had to include them into our photos (she was a great prop - so CUTE!)

At the end of the session, we HAD to stop by JP Licks for some ice-cream to cool off!  Thanks to Sumathi and Jay for many restaurant suggestions in JP.  I can't wait to go back to check them out.

July 4th Firework at Marblehead, MA

To avoid the crowd in Boston on July 4th, I decided to go watch the firework outside of Boston.   It would be ideal to check out a coastal town for firework, since it was so hot out.

After some research, I found out that Marblehead Firework (40 mins North of Boston) would be a pretty good place to hang out, (at least according to Coastal Town Living - Marblehead is a one of the top 10 spots to celebrate the 4th.)  Who knew!?

We decided to park and settle at Riverhead Beach (far end of the Marblehead Harbor, based on the recommendation from the website for best viewing and easy parking.)  It was probably the best advice, there was additional parking at Devereux Beach parking lot directly across the street, with a restaurant to grab some food, drinks and ICE CREAM !!  We drove around to check out the other viewing spots, there was absolutely no parking at the those areas.  So Riverhead Beach is your best bet.  And it wasn't super crowded, you could get there and still find a seat around 8:30pm for the 9pm firework.

We could see the both sides of the Harbor Illumination (red lights along the harbor), which started right before the firework.  The firework was right at the middle viewing point of Riverhead Beach, behind all the sailboats in the water.   Marblehead Firework is a great spot for July 4th, can't wait to go back next year, what a great find!

Here are few photos of the firework, hope you enjoy them!  You can click on the thumbnails to view the larger size photos.
